We are continuously growing our talent to inspire our audience with our entertaining performances to a broader scale all around the world.
Jenni Tan is a multi-talented, vibrant and soulfully driven lady that has diverse interests in the arts. She was tutored and coached to dance under The City Ballet in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
In 2005, her perseverance and burning desire for artistic perfection had paid off as she was accepted into the Akjun Ballet Theater Company to perform in Albany and New York City, USA.
However, things changed when Jenni Tan stumbled across ‘Salsa’, a sensual South American couple dance that has blazed a sizzling trail around the world arena and into South East Asia. Her solid foundation in ballet made it effortlessly easy for her to master salsa.
The shift from ballet to salsa was a positive and courageous move. Jenni Tan blossomed into an overnight success story, winning two prestigious competitions consecutively in the year 2005, The Conlay Salsa Dance Championship and The Malaysia DVM DanceSport Championships.
Today, Jenni Tan is the first to explore “The Bachatango” dance style in Malaysia; a fusion of Bachata and Argentinean Tango. She continues to develop her talent in dance and other forms of worldly arts while carrying out her own dance workshops, classes and performances.
Jovita Yuin-Cing Bautista has been teaching dance for over 8 years, in all ages specializing in children and teenagers. A versatile dancer and teacher, she began her dance training in Ballet at a tender age of 3, trained extensively in Latin dancing since 8 years old and later ventured out into other dance genres such as hip-hop, tap dancing, belly dancing, jazz, cultural and contemporary dance.
Under the tutelage of Mr. William and Ms. Luisa, Ms. Jovita is recognized for being the 9 times Undefeated Malaysian Amateur Latin Champion since 2006. She was also the grand finalist for all major international Latin Amateur competitions and has been the youngest female Amateur Latin champion to claim the title at the age of 15. Due to her extensive winnings in the amateur category until 2009; she was asked to turn professional the following year and is the youngest female to turn professional in the Latin dancing category before the age of 20. Ms. Jovita was selected to represent Malaysia in many major competitions, such as Taiwan, China, Taipei, Hong Kong, Singapore and Indonesia to name a few.
On top of that, Ms Jovita is also performing and choreographing for various schools, production and companies. She is also a talent, dancer and choreographer for Astro promos and other media productions.
A patient, hardworking, and passionately dedicated instructor, her classes are creative and fun fill yet striving to bring out the best of her students. An ordinary girl with extraordinary dreams, her philosophy is “dance should be recognize as a form of art and not of a competition; it shouldn’t be restricted to only mastering good technique, steps and musicality but having to express the movement that is secretly playing inside your mind.”
Clubbing after a hard day’s work can be said to be a lifestyle for some of Kuala Lumpur’s citizens, and this was definitely true for Benny Chin. Naturally, the social aspect of Salsa (with many clubs hosting Salsa nights) appealed greatly to Benny when he took up Salsa classes at the insistence of a friend and since then, he has been a regular face in the social dance scene ever since!
His easy-going nature belies his talents and abilities at dancing and teaching the art of Salsa and Bachata, and with his first competition in 2011 (The 2nd Annual Outcast Salsa Competition), Benny is set on pushing his dance skills to the limits, whether it is for a casual social night out or on the competitive circuit!
